What would saving electricity do?

I don't want to know how to save electricity but i want to know what saving electricity would do to the environment

electricity is mostly generated by burning coal,

so saving electricity means reducing the amount of carbon dioxide which is released to the atmosphere.

since corbondioxide is one of the greenhouse gases which cause global warming.

by saving electricity we can prohibit the global warming become more severe.

the amount of fossil fuel used to drive the engine that turns the generator is dependant on the load drwan from the electricity generated.

in a nutshell, for every lightbulb you turn off, it gets fractionally easier to rotate the generator

liken it to the difference between the gas pedal setting on your car - to hold 30mph on the flat uses far less fuel than holding 30mph up a hill

To make electricity most of the major power stations burn coal, which creates harmfull emitions that damage the ozone layer. Causing global warming. By using less electricity the power stations don't have to make as much electricty which in turn means they don't release as much emitions into the air.

But it will take thousand of years for the earth to recover even if no more fossil fuels were to be burnt from today.

The lesser electricity we use, the lesser electricity needs to be generated.  This means lesser burning of fossil fuels such as coal, which means lesser pollution.  This also means no more opening new power plants.

Nothing.  It actually hurts it.  By not creating more sources of energy, we are dependent on oil.  The bad countries make lots of money off of oil prices skyrocketing.  They then reinvest those funds into weapons.  Lots of death and destruction.  

But as it is usually is with liberals, measure them on intentions, not results.
