What would stewards do if they see that both pilots are no more able to fly the aircraft?

  1. They would probably radio the closest airport where they would be instructed on how to handle the aircraft, the runways would be closed to other aircraft, and they would be talked "down" to the runway.


  2. I don't think stewards have any piloting training. They would probably try and find someone among the passengers (causing much panic).

    I seriously doubt the end of such a happening would be like in the movies where the stewardess lands the aircraft by herself. :(

  3. come get me. i'd be crowed back in coach and would love a better seat with more legroom. i'll land the sucker.

  4. The pilots who are jumpseating or non-revving would fly it.

  5. They would remain calm and think of the best alternates. Any passenger with flying experience could be of great help  and would have to be sourced tactfully, without alarming the other passengers. The ATC would obviously be informed and asked for assistance. Most modern airliners can be talked down by the tower with someone on board who is familiar with aviation sitting on the controls. The cabin crew are not only familiar with aviation, but with the aircraft cockpit layout as well.

  6. They have parachutes I think. lol
