What would swim faster?

Simple answer: dogs.

Complicated answer: If you think about the hydrodynamics involved it would clearly point to dogs. Sure, horses have longer legs, but the way that they're used to trotting on land wouldn't do them that much good in the water and their skinny legs don't help either. Combined with their immense weight I'd be amazed if a horse beat a dog in a swimming matchup.

Horses can't swim very well if they can swim. most dogs can swim very well and pretty fast but not near as fast has humans.
