Before I went vegan, I always loved McDonalds honey mustard snack wraps. I got some chicken style seitan and was planning on wrapping it in a tortilla with lettuce to make something similar. The only thing I don't know what to do about is the honey mustard. I don't eat honey anymore, but I want something that taste similar or just as good. What could I put on it instead of honey mustard? r could I put anything in the mustard to make it taste similar?

Thanks =]

  1. It's not just honey, but also the egg. Honey mustard contains mayo (yes, really, you can google it). Use vegenaise or nayonaise with mustard and a little bit of lemon juice and sweetener of choice.

  2. Try making your own honey mustard, but instead of using honey, use agave nectar. Here's a recipe for honey mustard, never tried it though.

  3. you could just put in something just as sweet as honey that we can eat. like sugar or syrup.

  4. I like honey mustard too but I never used to buy it. All you have to do is mix mustard with corn syrup or pancake syrup and it tastes about the same. Check out your health food store for other sweetners too.

  5. Look for a product called Suzanne's Just Like Honey.  It's rice nectar, but it looks, smells and tastes like honey.  You can order it online if you can't find it locally.  It's the closest thing I've found.

    You could also try maple syrup or agave nectar.  Neither will taste exactly right, but will add the sweetness you're looking for.

  6. Rice syrup, agave nectar syrup or maple syrup?
