What would the output of an inverter amplifier be when its input is 5V?

  1. depends on the gain of the circuit


  2. If you're talking about a digital circuit, and inverter puts out a low (0 volts) when a high (typically 5 volts) is applied to the input.  The high and low signals could have other values, but 5 V and 0 V is pretty typical of digital states.
