Have you heard of urban sprawl?  Had McDonald's not started the fast food industry may not be as big as it is today, but all else being equal everything else would have just taken its place.  American business is all about filling the empty space.  Even here in CO where we have mandated, dedicated open space, retail and housing and more are filling every nook and cranny.

i don't know about free land and space but there sure will be alot of room. Mcdonalds has taken so much space over the years and if it would be gone i think that alot of people are so addicted to it that they couldn't live.

I'm not a fan of McDonald's, but why is it McDonald's that everyone criticizes for the obeseity issues? There's more than McDonald's. There's Burger King, Carls Jr., Kentucky Fried Chicken, Jack-n-the-Box, and a lot more.

I suppose, but how much, really?  What does each take up, like an acre?  And it's usually in really developed, urban areas that no one would want to use land there anyway.  You could stake this claim about any corporation or chain anyway, what's your point?

it would save our rain forests and any other nature habitat,mcdonalds cuts it down to feed or invest in selling hamburgs. if there wasnt a mcdonalds, there is the next person in line waiting to sell you something
