What would the world be like without friction? Do you need friction to do your day-to-day activities like walk, brush your teeth, get out of bed, etc.

  1. almost all you need to do need friction for example walking needs friction. and our products instead of lubrication we need products for inducing friction.every surface between us has friction. your atom between you has friction without friction you cannot exist and you will not be here.

  2. of coz u need...it would be disastrous without friction

there wont be cars. u cant even walk...u gotta slide...and u need to collide or something to stop...

    just imagine driving without brakes

  3. Motion will not be possible as now. Only way to move without friction will be through force of reaction. One will need to push something to get motion in opposite direction. Then even to stop, one will need to collide with something. For changing direction also we need to apply force to something in the opposite direction.

In short, we will need some mechanism like rockets have to control our motion.

  4. The world will be like "forever"

  5. without friction, you wld only manage to interact with surfaces that u have the same magnitude in velocity, direction and placement...
