What would this dream signify?

It was after some event in my dream, we were then at some huge, posh hotel. There were staircases, but not normal ones-you had to hold onto the side rail, take a step and your feet would kind of slip on the curvy, smooth, white step, then you take the next step.

I was looking for the ladies, for obvious reasons, all over the huge hotel and couldnt find it. I went outside to the beautiful chinese garden, it had white water river rapid running through it. Parralell to the walkway, there was a little ledge that you were not meant to walk on but it wasnt clear until I had stepped onto it, when it came to a section that curved and I slipped and fell into the water. I got carried down this river for a bit and thats when I woke up, holding my breath thinking I was drowning! What could it possibly mean?

  1. Its interesting that there would be something as chaotic as a white water river in the middle of a chinese garden. Maybe you are trying to settle some kind of chaos or foreseeable chaos in your life? Just a thought.

  2. Just read The Dream Game by Ann Faraday and you'll easily be able to figure your dreams out for yourself. It's not wise to depend on the interpretations of others since they aren't you and your dreams depend solely on how you perceive things.

  3. in dreams hotels often symbolize impermanence, a point of transition in a relationship or life. it could also mean a shift or loss or personal identity.

also the water and almost drowning feeling is a strong stress symbol.

yet Japanese gardens usually symbolize peace and tranquility .

don't get me started on stair cases.

  4. it's just part of becoming a L*****n
