i want to write a phrase in latin somewhere along the lines of "man across generations." the online translator i used said "compleo trans ingenero" or

"vir trans ingenero." does this make sense? is the word "vir" or "compleo" more appropriate? and if generation is plural would that make "ingenero" "ingeneri"? thank you.

  1. Homo per saecula = Man through generations

Don't trust the online sites at all. They give you garbage.

'Compleo' is a verb with several meanings, one of which is 'I make pregnant'.

'Ingenero' is also a verb; it means 'I implant'

Those two words are even worse than the usual output of the online translators.

'Vir' is a good word for man, but is masculine only. It could be used.

'Trans' is good for 'across' in the physical, but not the temporal, sense.
