.. i have cought  poachers...sone fellas after a head, and a kid after meat.

  The kid was between a rock and a hard place..He had shot a deer on the ditch and i heard him shoot.  When i got out there, he had it nearly cleand,... he was about 18 -20 years old, had a family, was obviously after the meat, scared, opologetic, and determined to have the meat...  

   I helped him finish his chore, and load it in his car, and made him drag everything to the up-side of the ditch.  

  I have no regreats... i see him and his family now and then in town, and he always greets me like a benafactor or

something.

  I cought some men who shot a nice buck in almost the same place 3 years before that too...  they heard or saw me comming down the fence, and drove off and left the deer.

   I see that truck around now and then also...  and have made it clear to him i KNOW him and that he shot that buck...

  I havent got a hero complax... nor do i aprove of killing for the thrill...  folks gotta eat, and there is no laws that will fix hunger.

  The trophy shooter has found himself closed from hunting private land any where in the valley... I dont know where he hunts, but it ain't around here.

  The kid with the little kids has plenty of things to do these days...  he earns what he gets, too.

  If it happens again i'll do the same thing... i been hungry enough to kill meat... and dont owe opologys to any body for getting it.

  The law serves it's purpose i think... but people can serve each other better if they realised one anothers position or situation.

Ask them to leave and let them know the next time will be bad for them.

Most poachers are just kids.
