  1. Look for a man I liked and cheat on him.

  2. an affair in any form or fashion is disrespectful to me so i would...LEAVE...

  3. I would ask them what they felt about it.  If they loved the other person and wanted to be with them then that's one thing.  But if its just that I've been emotionally distant, and we can do something to change things, I would.

  4. Nothing. An affair is physical.

  5. talk to them about it, if there was a chance to salvage the relationship and i love this person a lot, i would work it out, if not i would just move on.

  6. what is the difference in an "emotional affair" and a good friend?  Nothing.

  7. First off make sure it is an emotional affair. A little over a year ago I was in this same situation. Where my husband had bought a prepaid cell phone calling this woman, blah, blah, blah. Make certain your partner understands that yes this is considered cheating if they are doing it behind your back. Make sure they know in no uncertain terms that you do not like it. Talk through it...if you want the relationship to work. Make certain that your partner knows that you will not tolerate it again. It hurts the same no matter it be emotional or physical. The trust is broken and you have to really work very hard to gain it back. It takes forever. We are still working on the trust issue here. Good luck.

  8. dump him or her

  9. Emotional affair? Sometimes there needs to be more detail. I say this because it could simply be more of a friendship than an affair unless someone admitted to it.

I worked with someone who was in a disastrous marriage. When I a bad one, I mean knock down, drag out, smacked him around kind of marriage. I felt bad for the guy. Ten years before that I was in one of those myself and didn't have any friends to lean on. I was stuck being alone without anyone to confide in, lean on, support me through the REALLY tough times.

So, I befriended him. He called and I listened. Nothing more to it. Friendship might be all that is really there, but because you feel vulnerable see something more?

Without more information its hard to really help you. Sorry!

    Good luck!
