There're plans to close down your railway line at the end of the year because of the financial difficulties, this line connects with the main line to your capital city in one direction, and with a ferry to a nearby island in the other directin it is also vital for trasporting studrends to your college, as the train runs 30 minutes whereas the local bus service is very infrequent

  1. IN the States they cant close down a line without hearings and it is decided by the Federal govt, usually the RR's win becuase they have all the best lawyers.

But you can protest that the line is essential and there have been cases where the lines has been forced to stay open.

    good luck with it.

  2. Use whatever avenues there are open to complain and object. Get the local press, TV and radio interested. Lobby whoever represents you in your country's legislature. Involve local tiers of government.

Whether it will do you any good is, however, debatable. Here in the UK many such services were closed as long ago as the 1960s. No one listened to complaints, even though the railways had to go through a statutory procedure before closure.
