I'd fix up my Mom's house because it needs some repairs and I'd pay for her to live in an apartment while they fix her house.

I'd like it to look like this:

I'd surprise my Sister with a trip to vegas for the Star Trek convention there.

I'd send some cash to my Brother.

I'd put most of it in the bank in CD's and avoid the gambling aspect of stocks at the moment.

I'd buy new clothes and upgrade all my electronics.

I'd be tempted to quit my job and just work part-time and/or go to college to get a Master's degree in something else.

I'd be nervous without health insurance though because one trip to the hospital can cost a lot of money.

I'd take my Wife on a fun trip somewhere she wants to go.

I wouldn't give any away and that's for sure, a million dollars isn't that much money.  Probably retire young to Queensland, bank it and live off the interest.

I'd put about half of it in a 12 month CD. Normally I would invest it, but with the way the stock market is going, now is not such a good time. Then I'd take the rest and buy a whole lot of land by my house. That would put me at about 450,000 left. Then I would buy a sport court, batting cage (with automatic pitching machines), a putting green, put up some nets and then I'd have a driving range, and a kick a$$ swimming pool, with a slide and waterfall and diving board and everything.

So now I'm down to about 300,000. I would add on another room to my house, about 1000 sq feet. Now with 150,000 left, I'd buy a golf simulator (down to 130,000), two jet ski arcade games, air hockey, racing games, (105,000), huge TV, basketball arcade games, pool and poker tables (90,000), and then I'm out of ideas. Maybe build a roller coaster or waterpark. :)

besides two chicks at the same time? I'd build a decent house so that I didn't have to deal with a mortgage payment and maybe pay off my car. Whatever is left would get saved.
