What would u require from immigrant farm workers !?

to be highly educated but yet want to work as seasonal farm workers !?

would medical , astronauts , engineering tittles help !?

where would u get those workers from !?

what exactly do u expect from someone who is poor and would work as a farm worker !?

That they be LEGAL immigrants and try to assimilate, as so many previous generations of immigrants have done; respect our laws, our flag, and our government.  This is the United States of America, not the United States of Mexico.

Edit:  Interestingly, every answer that refers to immigrants being legal gets thumbs down; hmmmm, now what does that tell us?

from our government i expect a process be setup to allow them to come and go, but legally.  i expect our government to ensure they are not treated unfairly on the job.

A green card. Like stated, the vast majority of farm workers are legal though.

There is nothing wrong with "expecting" someone to follow the law, now is there. That's all we expect of these people, follow the law and don't break it to get here.

Obviously legal. There's lots of visa's available through the NAFTA treaty for agricultural workers. More people should be made aware of this both here and in other countries. Unfortunately the focus has been on the illegal crossers who apparently don't have a clue that legal means are possible. Nor do employers it seems. I feel the focus should shift and more emphasis placed on LEGAL ways and means that the common man can understand and abide by. How can a person with limited educational abilities be expected to understand much less fill out enumerable amounts of paperwork? h**l half the farmers who need the help that aren't large corporations don't even know they can sponsor workers. Leaving them either in trouble or hiring illegally and getting in trouble.

With our visa system there isn't a reason for anyone to be here illegally except ignorance. We should get the word out instead of busting our heads against the walls trying to figure out how to correct this situation AFTER the fact.

And yes English would be a good idea if they want to be accepted.

You mean illegal farm workers? Since only 3% of farmworkers are illegal,Im sure we could do without them. I would require them to stay in mexico. The rest of the immigrant farm workers are here legally with  temporary work visa's. If they want to be slaves to corporations thats their perogative,I dont care.

Id like them to be legal and to wash their hands after they use the restroom.  Only 2% of farmworkers are migrant anyway.

They need to show the return part of their return ticket, working in the UK should not mean permanent residence and a claim to be "British" as we so often hear from Asian Sub  Continent immigrants
