What would win a fight, an elephant or a giraffe?

both are very large, but who would be the victor if they engaged in a fight?

The elephants trunk would break the neck of the giraffe, easily. A giraffe is tall, but doesn't weigh nearly as much as even the smallest elephant.

Even bulls of the the smallest elephant species/sub-species (African Forest Elephant) are still about 3 times the weight of a bull giraffe. An elephant would have no problem overpowering and goring or crushing a giraffe .

well there no answer because elephants are fragial, they just like to wander, while giraffe on the other hand like to wander too, so when they past each other, i doubt they fight, elephant and giraffe are almost like friend, because they just past each other like they don't exist, so i doubt any one of the giraffe or a elephant will kill each other

Giraffes are difficult and dangerous prey though, and when attacked the giraffe defends itself by kicking with great force. A single well-placed kick from an adult giraffe can shatter a lion's skull or break its spine. Lions are the only predators which pose a serious threat to an adult giraffe.

but then again the giraffe is lighter so he can make the elephant fall its not that easy for an elephant to get up

& he can then run for it
