  1. i had this with my second and third child as my second was born on the 20th dec and my third was born on the 31st of oct they mainly got cloths and little rattles that could watch i didn't c much point in getting anything else

  2. I have 4 children all born in October and November what we did was to buy some little thing like teethers, rattles  1 bigger toy that was for about 6+ months then we got them a convertible car seat for when they out grew the infant car seat.   and for stockings we did spoons, replacement nipples, baby wash,

  3. I'm sooooooooooooo glad u asked this question and I can't wait to hear peoples answers.  I'm due to have our lil girl Oct. 1st and my fiance keeps on asking if we are going to have to do the whole xmas thing for her and I say yes even though shes only going to be a few months old.

I'm clueless to what to get her though just because shes basically having xmas when shes born with all these new toys and clothes and swing and etc.

  4. My son was 1month old for his first christmas. (nov07) all i got him for christmas was the cutest outfit to wear on the day! lol.

If you know family will be buying him gifts, thats great! save your money to buy things that he will need after hes opened up all his gifts. You dont want to go out and buy things for him, and then have people give the same thing as a pressie!

  5. I would do both, buy a few things that he can use now, and then maybe buy one or two things that he can grow into. When my daughter was two months old she loved stuff that made noise and lit up. So.. maybe something like that. Also something black and white... maybe a black and white baby book can help stimulate their mind. Good luck!!!

oh also, not sure if walmart will have this during christmas but i remember for easter they had some really cute easter type baby rattles... maybe they will have the same thing for christmas... that would be cute.

  6. my boy is born in october and he was only a few months old for his first xmas... i got him a gaint teddy bear, but if you dont want to do the bear thing i suggest something they can keep for ages so they can look back and tell everyone it was for their first xmas... my boy still has his and he is nearly 6, he loves it!!!

  7. My baby was born October 23 but did not come home from the hospital until Dec 23.  I bought him Christmas Pj's which is a tradition in my family.  Everyone gets new pajamas on Christmas Eve.  Here is the the thing though since he was so premature at two months he was still sleeping like a newborn.  On Christmas day I he slept a total of 21 hours.  I had to wake him up to eat.  He didn't even wear his new pajamas.  They are in a box in his closet safe and sound.  He couldn't wear them but someday my his son will.

I do not see a reason to give a newborn a lot of gifts.  They will not be able to appreciate any of them.  Mine would rather play with the box.  Save your money for necessities and for things he will need later.

    Congratulation on your pregnancy.

  8. Actually...I didn't get anything for either of my kids at that age.  They have no idea what gifts are and it's not like they even care at that age.  Save your money and buy things you need.
