What would you call someone who just has the bare essentials in life?

Question

If you came over to my house and seen that all I had was the bare essentials, despite the fact that I make good money and am what is considered normal in every other way.

To me a house or an apartment is a place to rest your head and nothing more. I want nothing to do with accumulating stuff or decorating.my place. Give me a bed, fridge, shower/sink, Microwave and I'm good.

Am I considered weird or eccentric for this?

i dont like alont of things to be cluttering my room so all i do is spend money on the things i need like clothes i like and food and rent i onlt got a bed a laptop and my weights in my room and my closet it is the basics that are all i need i dont need a flat screen tv or a big sounds system all i need is a car and my clothes and money and my bible and i am all good for this world, but since i could die at any given day i dont value much things on this planet cause they came from dust and they will return.

No, I would call you a minimalist as well.

My boyfriend is like that too, he doesn't care about having nice furniture or lots of clothes but the only drawback is that you can be misunderstood as cheap. Sometimes it's good to treat yourself to a little something though!

A Minimalist, no your not weird or eccentric  there are a lot of people like you. People who have too much stuff are called a Materialist.
