What would you call this hat?

As a Canadian living in the US, I often get flack about calling this style of hat a "toque".

What would you call it?

Not a beanie!!  Just a knit cap, is what we use. Not very specific, but that's lazy American English.  If it fits close to the head all over it's a watch cap.
