i'm thinking $2000.00 (two thousand dollars) for a year if i owned a preschool/daycare center. why would I charge so much?

swiming lessons

learning time (pre school learning)

gym time

educational computer time (www.kidrocket.org)

music time

payground time

would you pay that much for a preschool/daycare center like this?

the times of the preschool is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

and for the daycare it would be 7:00 am - 8:00 pm

for the kids that come at 7 and leave at 8 eat lunch and dinner and of course snack

for preschool and for kids that stay till 5:00 and leave only get snack and lunch

this is just an idea for the furture. you could also rent out gym. (churches are free) $100.00 (one hundred dollars)

it would be securety safe and its fun! we would also do a summer camp too.

I'M ONLY 10 (TEN) BUT TIS IS FOR THE FURTURE!

  1. Golly Gee!   Where the heck can you find day care for $2000 a year!  My friends pay at least $1000 a month, and that is only for the first child...a second child is even more!

  2. i think that is a good amount to charge annually..

doing the math and dividing up payments weekly or monthly..

    its really good..

    thumbs up for me

  3. Well, I think that you need to have it a little more reasonable as far as when people would pay. I would say that if they can afford to pay a whole year up front, $2000 is AWESOME for them. The majority of people are unable to come up with such a large amount in one lump sum so they would have to pay monthly, even weekly...in this case, your $2000 breaks down to less than $40 a week....this is WAY cheap...almost too cheap...I don't know where you live but I live in a very rural area (less than 1,000 population) and daycare costs are around $100 a week for one child.  Once you get started you will have to consider all of your expenses and then decide on a fee....this seems a little premature!

Also, you may want to consider breakfast for preschool. I would say breakfast at 8:30, lunch at 12:00, snack at 3:00...same with daycare, but if they are there that late, I would say supper too...most daycare age kids need supper around 6:00...assuming that their parents will feed them supper after 8:00 isn't the best idea because they will most likely be starving and cranky by then (my kids eat and 6 and go to bed by 8:30).

There is my 2 cents for you!!!
