What would you charge to babysit?

both demanding ages...for both, i would charge at least $8.00 an hour....I was offered a babysitting job full time for a 1 and a 3 yr old for only $175.00/wk...i certainly did not take it, way too low

depending on what the family could afford how difficult the kids are and if its a family friend or not...when i use to babysit and i was younger i would get about $20 (for one kid) to watch the kids for a few hours...but the best thing is to let the parents set the price and see if you agree with it because some families can afford more than other....

Depends on where. Cities on the east coast you should charge more, especially since it's 2 very young children. Probably 20 dollars/hour there. Other major cities 12-15 dollars. Suburbs and more rural areas, 10-15.
