What would you consider a traditional African American?

I don't think such a thing really exists here in the United States anymore. I am black myself, and I have had mixtures of different races in my family. Looking at me, you would not think I had white family members, but I did. I like being called black, because the color black itself is a mixture of all colors.

an african who has become and american, if you were born here, even if your parents weren't, you are an american!

There is no such thing, you are either an American or you are not.  The only reason people call themselves african american, german american, french american or any other division, is to seperate themselves from everyone else.  And that is pure racism.  If you do not love this country enough to call yourself an American, then you do not have to stay here, have a nice trip.
