Malcolm, my sister wanted to call her middle son this because it was his fathers' uncle's name, thankfully she changed her mind to Hayden, or Hades as we call him as it suits him better.

any name beginning with E seems pretty unattractive for me for some reason, excluding Ella.

Also names like Burt and Bernie. Any name that had an "urgh" sound in the middle of it.

Any name that is the same as ugly people from school lol. Such as Tanielle Jemima, Ariel uhh and a few others. I think what people consider ugly names or names they wouldnt pick for their children are names that remind them of people that use to bully them or people that were ugly how funny. Thats just my opinion

Most of the Chinese names are degrading if you look at them from the American point of view.  I work with Chinese people and their names are one syllable.  These are real first names of people I work with:  Hoe, Yoe, Chang, Whey, Hay, Gin, Cie, When, Hew, etc...
