  1. 1)10-25k per household

    2) 15 - 30k per household

    3) 25-60k per household

    4) 45 - 100k+ per household

there are actual figures to put this into context for offical reports - but i can't be bothered to find them right now... (see gov stats website)

however - lower working class - as much as they want on benifits!

  2. to me

    1) are people who work in manual labour, shop work ect earning between £10k-£16k

2)are people working as receptionists, firemen, ect earning between £16k-£25k

3)people who are in managerial office roles, nurses, policemen, teachers

    £25k-£100k

    4)surgeons,specialists,owner of a company ect

    £100k+

i may or may not be correct but this is my take on it.

  3. Things now work on socio-econimic class rather than income. I can't be bothered to look it up, but as far as I remember you have letters for your "class" and it's based on the type of work you do rather than what you earn.

If I had to assign numbers though (solitary, not household income):

    Un-Working Class: £0 - £6,999 (c**p life)

    Working class: £7,000 - £14,999 (get-by life)

Lower Middle Class: £15,000 - £24,999 (comfortable life)

    Middle Class: £25,000 - £49,999 (enjoyable life)

Upper Middle Class: £50,000 - £99,999 (more enjoyable life)

    Rich: £100,000+ (life of luxury)

I added "Rich" because I couldn't justify putting someone who earns £50,000 in the same class as someone who earns £250,000, put I believe no matter what your income is you cannot become "Upper Class", you have to be born into it.

  4. middle class
