What would you do...details inside...?

Question

My downstairs neighbors called my landlord & tried to get me evicted. They told on me for owning a snake & because my relatives & I were smoking cigarettes on my own porch.

My relatives are here because my uncle-in-law was passing & now has passed away).

I have done nothing to those downstairs ppl, I'm so stressed out...

I can't have revenge because anything I do could get me evicted, I'm just screaming inside right now. Also I think they stoled my big flowering plant (Cattle-lilies) -sp?

Don't start to stress! Continue your life and ignore them! Talk to your land lord about it and see what he has to say, it could be that he sides with you on this.

If you are a good tenant, you have nothing to worry about. Let them call, maybe the landlord will see them as a problem! You can smoke-it's not against the law!  Give then=m no reasons, and call your landlord and explain how  meddling THEY are.  BTW,You do not need to explain to them why your family is in town.

Try talking to them. Perhaps try calling them, and asking politely if they have any problems with your presence. If that doesn't help, just try to avoid them completely, and simply watch yourself.

I once had a horrible apartment neighbor confrontation, and now I'm a landlord, so here's my advice to you...

Do not contact or try to smooth things over with the neighbor.  Do not purposely annoy your neighbor.

Make sure you are good with your landlord, and make sure your position is known.  Your neighbor's unhappiness in the building is between them (the neighbor and the landlord).

You all can move in next door to us!  I've got my own plants and my own cigarettes even.  Plus, my husband would like the bikini.  

Anyway, I  doubt your landlord is going to take these meddlesome jerks seriously.

I'm sorry for your loss..you wont get evicted for smoking on your porch..if the landlord says you can then you can just don't throw your cigg butts make sure they die them out in an ashtray..is the landlord okay with your pet?? if so there is nothing they can do about it and ignore them doing something back would be stooping to there level and only make the feud worse

I would talk to your landlord.Tell  him or her  about your situation at the time of the complaint,and then see if  it bothered them by you owning the snake,some landlords can be lenient to certain animals,even if the lease states no animals.And ask them  If they have any plans of actually evicting you.Then I would start stressing about it.
