Assuming this was real, and not some doom-sayers like those 2012 lunatics fantasies, I'd cough on them.  Sounds pathetic, doesn't it?  Its well known how disease decimated the Indians of the Americas.  Imagine an incurable plague on the aliens.

i would buy them a drink and make friends. then i'd get their cell number and we'd text all the time. we'd become best friends! then they wouldn't vaporize me.

Funny that people automatically assume they would be hostile. I wouldn't do anything until I knew their motives.

Collaborate. I'm of the opinion that they couldn't possibly do a worse job of running the planet than our current leaders do.

Unfortunately, there's hardly any chance that such a thing would ever happen. We have nothing they want here that they couldn't obtain elsewhere with much less effort than a full scale invasion

I guess it would depend on how you define "invade". ...to come here in great numbers with honorable intentions?....or hostile intentions?

Watermelon has a good point...why do we assume that their intentions would be hostile?.....from watching too many movies of hostile aliens..I guess.

I too..would wait to see what their intentions were before I did anything....no sense in getting all worked up for nothing.
