it really would depend on the crime, if it was something petty and didnt involve anyone get badly hurt or murdered i might keep it a secret. i would let them know that i know that have commited a crime but i wouldnt tell the authorities unless it was really serious, or if i thought it was going to keep happening i would probably report them. crime aint good and u wouldnt want someone u care about getting in trouble with the law! i would tell them that it is the wrong path to take.

By you knowing and not reporting it, you become an accessory after the fact which is punishable the same as the one who committed the crime.

Depending on the nature of the crime, your penalty will vary. If the crime was murder, you could get the same sentence as the killer.

Any way you look at it, in the eyes of the law you are just as guilty.

I would keep it a secret if it was not a big deal...if they killed someone then it would be a different story.
