What would you do if someone parked about 5 inches from your car?

I've had this happen a couple times where cars/trucks have parked about 5 inches from my door on the driver's side so I could barely squeeze in. Have you ever had this happen and what have you done? I think it is completely rude for people to do that!

  1. Yes its rude but just go around and use the passengers side door.

  2. That happened to me last weekend, I came out to my truck & the car that was in back of me put his bumper into the rear of my truck. Who ever the person is they no they did it . They also no who keyed the right side of there car.If people dont care about my personal belongings so be it. Turn about is fair play. Why should i be the only one that pays for damages.

  3. Getting back into your car isn't the only thing you should worry about. It's usually these asshats that are the ones who just slam their door open regardless of there being a car beside them. They've most likely "dinged" your car on the way out of theirs.

Whenever someone is parked close to you, always check your car for any dents or paint rubs. If they actually DID damage your car, and it was obvious it was by them(their paint on your car?), then make a case out of it. Sic your insurance company on them, and have it repaired. That'll teach them to watch what they're doing.

That said, that's what I always do if someone is parked even relatively close to me. I know I've already been dinged several times, but luckily, none have left damage. Yet, anyway. =(

  4. I would try to get in any way I can and move my vehicle to a better parking space.

I drive a very long pick-up truck (for my work) that's hard to park, It just doesn't fit in most spaces. Just so it can fit and so it doesn't get hit by other cars, I'll try to park it way in the back of the parking lot in one big space or two small spaces. I have to walk more....but I guess it's good for my health and helps protect my truck.

  5. Oh yes, it has happened to me alright.  I came back from the grocery store and there was this big truck parked in a space meant for compact cars only, just a few inches from my driver's side door.  I've had to go in through the passenger door just to get in.  I also looked for dings and dents on my driver side door but didn't find any.  Wonder how the person got out of their truck...or maybe they squeezed out of their passenger side door too.

It really pisses me off when that happens but as much as I'd like to tell them off for it, I have no time to waste waiting around for the owner to come back.

  6. It happens to me alot and I don't let it get to me,

sure it's an inconvienence but really not worth getting all aggrivated over it.

some people are just stupid I guess.
