Question:

What would you do if the place you move to has no jobs?

But know you can not move where there is jobs because you got laid off.You can't afford a rental truck. Do you just sell everything.and go where the jobs are? please help! everything I have is 3yrs old and I need it all. or sell them and start over????

  1. That's a difficult situation and I feel for you. Do you know someone who could store your things for you for a few weeks? If not, you could pay to have them stored. The initial outlay should be less than for a rental truck, but it would be dead money - you'd still need to eventually pay for a truck when you find work and a place to stay. As you've said, you could sell everything, but it would then cost more to replace them, but if you can't have them stored for a while, that's probably your only solution.


  2. you gotta think about why you got laid off then.

    Sounds like you did something bad, so you gotta move where nobody knows you??  Sounds a bit dodgy...if that's not the case, I apologise but you sorta made it sound that way.

    Can you get a job in a different industry?  There have got to be more options than moving to a place with nothing.
