What would you do if you discover after using a public toilet that there's no soap and/or the taps are faulty?

Hand sanitizer. I always keep it in my car.

It seems to me that I would have no choice - no soap, no water, no clean hands.  I know I would not eat though til I found somewhere to wash them at - or could buy some waterless sanitizer.

It has happened to me, and I simply tried to find somewhere else to wash my hands. It was inconveniet but not the end of my existence.

whip out my hand sanitiser from my hand bag

its 1 time not washing ur hands isnt gonna b the end of da world

I'll have no choice but to be creative and use something that i always bring along............my socks! ( for wiping) and i always have my hand sanitizer so.....harharhar

ln Australia we are able to buy a waterless hand sanitizer...used for this purpose.

We carry it in our handbags.lt is a great product..........

I would thank the Lord that there was still toilet paper in the stalls and I could find one that wasn't clogged with sewage.  Knowing what I know about the prevalence of bacteria on the hands and the inadequacy of merely wetting them, which is what a lot of people do I would not sweat it.

Ya see, this is when the  small bottle of hand sanitizer comes in handy!  Or, you could look and see IF there's available soap/water first and then go.  Decisions, decisions.

as a woman I always have some wet wipes in my bag ................it may be anal but you just never know when something will come in handy.....................

Pull out my bottle of hand sanitizer...  Squirt a bit, rub my hands, report the lack of soap and/or faulty plumbing to management and get on with my day...  

I carry a small travel size hand sanitizer for situation just like the above...

Many don't.  Just hope they have enough towels on hand and get yourself a bottle of water until you can find adequate facilities..
