  1. I've never heard of Animal Control not coming to pick up a domesticated animal. I would probably call the shelter and talk to someone in charge there. Where I live Animal Control and the Animal Shelter are two different entities that work together.

And actually I HAVE found a puppy before. In fact, I've found puppies a couple of times in a couple of different situations. I took it upon myself to rescue them, vet them, and adopt them out to suitable homes. But of course, I had the time, the space and the means to do it.

  2. I would bring him to the animal shelter.

  3. I'd feed him, then get him to the shelter. I can't keep a puppy, but I wouldn't want him to die, either.

  4. I'd keep him till I found a friend / neighbor / family-member who wanted him. Last resort would be an animal shelter... Luckily puppies are adopted faster than full-grown dogs.

  5. i would take him to the vet, give him shots and keep him as a pet

  6. If you are willing to put up with him for a few days put up signs saying you have found him, and that you are looking for a home for him. Otherwise take him to a no kill shelter and he will be adopted with in an average of three days. If you take him there still put up a few signs saying you found him so that any owners looking for him can find him by finding you.

  7. I'd take care of him.

Put up found puppy posters and an add in a paper.

Keep an eye out for lost puppy posters and adds in the paper.

After a few days to a week, I'd take it to the local shelter, or if I knew the breed a rescue.

If nobody claimed him, I might keep him, but it depends on what's going on in my life.
