(PLease read to the end. I need your ideas)

Say you go through a lot of emotional distress trying to get your money back because you are lied to again and again. The defrauding company's agent tells you they will refund your money, but then make you go trough a lot of trouble before they actally pay you back. By the time you get your money back, you have spent a lor of resources like time, fuel, and energy in trying to get your refund. Not to mention you are sick to your stomach because of all you went through with their bad customer service.

By the time the ordeal is over, you found out there are complaints on the Company's BBB report, wich reveals they are skilled at scamming customers.

Would you happily walk away in relief, or would you do this:

Make fliers and give them to residents in the area warning them to check the company's BBB report before taking their business there? Would it be illegal to do this?

  1. Fraud is a Federal offense. Call the FBI and report them.

  2. No it's not illegal.  The parent company that owns my store's Franchise was being boycotted due to unfair working conditions.  Even thoug my location had nothing to do with it, there were people outside my entrance handing out flyers to boycott.  The mall security said it was free speech, as long as it is not on mall property or my own property.  You can place a newspaper ad or post flyers, though.

  3. I don't enjoy doing this, but in most cases I have to cut my losses. But if the sum of money is large and I have a chance to get it back, I may eventually sue to recover the losses.
