  1. I'd remember all the things I hated as a student like homework, not being able to bring electronics, etc and I'd let my students bring in contraband and let them use it while they work. NO HOMEWORK! The only time I'll give home work is for those that want to do it for extra credit. I don't believe in homework. 7 hours a day in school is long enough.


  2. I'm not sure of what specifically you are referring to, but I am a teacher, so therefore what would I do if I were a teacher does not fit me exactly.

    I am a teacher, therefore I do many things.

    I give lessons to my students and not only ones that are academic, but also lessons in life.

    I think that the youth in America require instruction in many different subject areas.  Some of our youngsters don't even know how to take turns or to listen when somebody else is talking.  Respect for ones self and others are important to also learn.

    Then acquiring knowledge in the academic subjects can be learned.

    So, to say that all a teacher does is teach is quite an understatement.

    I would teach academics

    I would teach social skills

    I would grade papers

    I would write lesson plans

    I would discipline students needing it

    I would do report cards

    I would have parent/teacher conferences

    I would attend faculty meetings

    I would advocate for my students

    Oh wait, I AM a teacher and I do do those things.
