  1. There wouldn't be much you could do.

A big storm with baseball size hail struck our city back in 1969.   My new car was parked out back, so I tried to rush out and move the car to a carport.  A big stone struck my left foot as I ran out the door, so I forgot about the car and got back inside as fast as I could!  I could have been killed out there.

  2. If finding shelter were not an option, and I didn't have my hard hat in my back pocket, I would actually search for a culvert with an overhang, or pull up big pieces of sod to hide my body underneath for protection.

  3. Hailstones often kill cattle, so they are very dangerous.  I suppose I would try to protect my head as best I could and try to find shelter.  Hailstones can cause severe downdrafts in clouds which would be bad news if you were in an airplane.  Hailstones are also sometimes associated with tornadoes.

  4. would run!!!

  5. Ahh, run toward the nearest shelter covering my head.

    Good luck to me...

  6. The fetal position, or at least cover my head to the best of my ability.

  7. i'd take your hat, so my hair doesn't get ruined and i would run

  8. If you are caught outdoors, seek shelter immediately. If you can't find something to protect your entire body, at least find something to protect your head.

Stay out of culverts and lowland areas that might fill suddenly with water.

Trees are a last resort. It is common during severe storms for trees to lose branches. Also, large isolated trees attract lightning.
