  1. Be a pilot and write about your experiences. Best of both worlds

  2. I'd so do both =)

  3. The two occupations are not mutually exclusive. Many people have been both, including Stephen Coonts and Jummy Buffet. Well, Jimmy is not a pilot by trade, but he does spend a lot of time flying.

    Regards,

    Dan

PS Writing takes practice, too, just like flying.

  4. Absolutely do both. Some great writers have gotten their inspiration from their experiences flying.

"Oh' I have Slipped the surely bonds of earth and danced on laughter silvered wings."

The world needs pilots that will share their love for flying on paper.

  5. Do both.  Aviation is a very unstable industry.  You always want to go into it either with another career, or at the very least, a career that you can fall back on.

  6. Graduation from ground school=certification to fly a plane?

Life does not have to be "either or". It can be "and", if you want it to be.

  7. I can not see why you can not do both.  You can be a writer for any number of Aviation magazines - AOPA, Flying, Professional Pilot, etc.

Or join the airlines and get into the training department writing tech pubs, or manuals.  Or maybe even work for one of the manufacturers writing pubs for them.

The last thing you can do is become a writer make a good living and just buy a personal airplane and fly on the weekends for fun.

    Good luck.

  8. Do both.  As a pilot you will have a lot of time at home or sitting in a hotel to write.  If your good at writing that would be a great second job.

  9. neither

  10. write about the adventures you have flying.

  11. i would try to do both and if it doesnt work out go for the one you love the most flying or writing for me i would love to do be a pilot its my dream but if writing is your dream then you should do it good luck

  12. According to your question you are very young. So, why not both? Enjoy.

  13. Do like one of the reporters at CNN - become a journalist who uses his general aviation (Cirrus I think) to fly from one assignement to another.  That way, you get to have your cake and eat it too...

  14. i wud defo do both sweetie thats if u are willin to work really hard hunniii n u defo sound like u do so go for it !!!!

    Gud Luck xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  15.    Why don't you become an aviation analyst, and write about flying.....

  16. Do both, get a copy of "A Gentleman of Adventure", the factual (as opposed to the fictional autobiography, Fate is the Hunter) of Ernie Gann; Captain, American Airlines and writer par excellence.

  17. Do Both

Flying is realy cool and I love it.

  18. Fly for fun, and write about it. I'll buy the book.
