I was just told in confidence that my cousins treat their adopted (9 yrs ago) sister horribly. They team up and blame everything on her. They are mean to her to her face. My aunt and uncle don't see it at all.

I wasn't told by them as to how they treat her, so they don't even know that I know. It was another cousin who told me. (I have alot of cousins.. about 30, actually!)

I'm just not sure what to do. I want to help her.

  1. talk to someone. immediately. first with your aunt and uncle. then maybe get those cousins that are involved together. including the one that told you. make the truth come out. its important for this 9yr old.

  2. Tell your mum and dad and let them sort it out. You shouldn't try to deal with it on your own it could all backfire causing ructions in the family.

Good luck, you are in a tricky position.

  3. I would ask the adopted sister if this is really happening to her and then, according to what she says, I would talk to your aunt and uncle about the situation. She needs to know that someone cares about her and that someone is on her side!!!

  4. You need to talk to your aunt or uncle and tell them about it.  If they don't believe you tell them to talk to the other cousin who told you about it.  Just do what you can to help.

  5. It depends on what you're talking about cause I was the baby of 4 and I always got blamed for everything and my older siblings would hit me and stuff...Just normal sibling type stuff..I mean if they are seriously abusing her then it seems like her parents would know (see marks, hear it, or something)

  6. confront the aunt and uncle and let them know or i would have the kids over to my house and video tape them doing it.

  7. write a note without your name to your uncle or take a picture or video and give it to your aunt with that note you wrote without your name.

    be a secrete helper.

  8. talk to your aunt/uncle and tell them what you were told, or if you feel uncomfortable doing so tell your mom/dad and have them talk to them
