What would you do if your son or daughter stole your wallet and donated it for charity?

  1. I would not be happy.  While it is for a good cause, they need to donate something that they earned or their time, not something that they stole.  They would have to work off the money they stole by doing chores for me or working for someone else babysitting or mowing a lawn or something and then pay me back.

    If however, they had asked for money to donate to the charity I might have been willing to give it, but again depending on the age I might ask them to do something to earn it because giving away someone else's money or belongings doesn't teach the idea of sharing what you have the way that giving up something of your own does.
