I had a very close married friend on this site, then you split off..You went on & suddenly out of nowhere he appears again & invites you to stay with he & his wife a few days.He & his wife introduce me to his brother, who is very nice & all but, OK, here's the thing:

I'm going on a trip to Vegas, for business & he said "I have a few days I may can go too." That doesn't make me obligated to him, does it? How can I deal with this & not be put on the spot or hurt his feelings?

  1. oh yea i ******* hate when that happens...

but anyway.. what i usually do is just tell them that you'll be with friends or something.. hopefully he'll get the message. or since you said it was a business trip, i'd probably just say "oh that's cool.. too bad we aren't gonna be able to see eachother because i'm going to be loaded with work."

and if you do see him and he asks you to dinner or something, say that you'd love to but that you're a little tied up with work and hope that he understands.

  2. Just tell him you need some time for yourself, and sorry if he feels offended, but you rather not accompany anyone that you don't know real well of the opposite gender.

And with you not knowing him real well, it makes perfect sense that you are hesitant.

  3. are they trying to initiate some sort of 4some with you? a married man, friend or not, shouldn't be chasing friends of the opposite s*x to places like vegas. i would just steer away from that whole crowd personally.
