I have a friend that works at a school. In the afternoons she has to watch students that are waiting to pick up. Each assistant has to watch students and at a certain time escort them to the front. She has some coworkers that will send their children with her while they stay in their classroom thus making her responsible for their children. Is it fair of her coworkers to push their responsibilities off on her while they stay in their rooms and talk?

  1. Not only is it unfair, it may be illegal. If anything happened to the kids someone has to take responsibility.

I would  ask your friend to check who is ultimately to blame if anything happened while she was covering for someone

  2. How about she get a back bone and tell them no.

She is probably worried about job stability which is why she doesn't say anything. I think schools are union... so if she isn't smoking crack her job should be steady.

  3. nope

  4. no, she needs to do something about it, and stop her co-workers from walking all over her. Tell her to speak up for herself.
