Port reckon they'll analyse that. A lot to analyse! Personally I think one of the biggest factors was the failure of mind games but what do you think? Strength? Fitness? Speed? Precision? Would you sack anyone or recruit a particular position?

  1. not much ray, they were so comprehensively smashed i don't think there would be any point in trying to figure out what went wrong because everything went pear shaped-if i were port id block it out of the memory bank and wipe it from the history pages and just focus on next year,or it could just come down to the fact YOU CAN'T TURN $H!T INTO STRAWBERRY JAM!! ha ha f#@K port go cats

    Carlton supporter.

  2. i would move to melbourne and follow real footy teams

  3. I agree with Big Kev!

I also think they failed because of their arrogance and Geelong thrashed them due to strength, precision and being mentally strong as a team..

I'm not sure anyone should be sacked - no need for a knee jerk reaction just yet!

  4. Firstly I will say to myself, Why am I here? Then I will start to figure out why can't we get bums on seats, Why can't we be as popular as The Crows, Why are The Crows a better unit than we are?

The answer is Port Adelaide are coached by an arrogant pr*ck in Mark Willaims, captained by Mr Bighead in Warren Tredrea, and Chad Cornes being an absolute w*nker when Port wins.

That is why Port are hated so much in S.A

P.S..... Sorry Ray A, but thats the way I see it. Its my experiences and what I see from Port players and some of its supporters...thats gets me going.

  5. I think I would leave the country!

Since when could you put the words Port Adelaide and Brains in one sentence!

  6. I think they should all take a holiday...they certainly need one. I think many of them would have been left scratching their heads after saturday wondering how ithe h**l it all went so horribly wrong. Not to take anything away from Geelong but it was just a woeful performance!!!

  7. I think Geelong had more to play for.  Only one of the Cats had ever experienced Premiership success, as opposed to 10 of the Power players I think it was.  I don't think many other teams in the competition would have performed a whole lot better as the Cats were on song on Saturday.  I'm a Magpies supporter and even after the close match in the Prelim, I'm not sure they'd have been close to the Cats level.

I wouldn't sack anyone, but maybe Tredrea should be dropped as captain in favour of a midfielder or half-back (maybe a Peter Burgoyne) whose performances lead the team as much as personality.

It is also necessary to note that Port were comprehensively beaten all over the ground by a better performing Geelong team.  They were in it to win it and were clearly too good for their opponents in nearly every contest.
