  1. Unless your 16 year old is incapacitated she is more than old enough to stay home alone. First thing, stop charging your credit card until you are caught up with what you owe.

I take it you don't have medical coverage for your kids dental work and glasses. I'm also going to assume their father is not in the picture since you didn't mention one. What you need to do is apply for insurance waiver in whatever state you're in. Just because you make over minimum wage doesn't mean you can afford everything.

Contact your local health insurance provider for the forms. Again, I'm not sure why your daughter is seing a shrink but maybe you can hold off until you get that insurance first.

  2. Even though you make over minimum wage, isn't there some state assisted program for medical care for your children? they may not cover you, but they should cover the children. 16 should be old enough to stay home without an adult present. The 16 year old could watch the younger one, if you're looking for a second job.

Go back to Health and Human Resources and see if Medicaid is an option for the kids. Get rid of the credit card as fast as you can. Good luck.
