Okay, I was at an applebees around late january of this year, and had ordered a burger. I was 30 weeks pregnant at the time and while I was eating my burger I bit down on something. I spit it out and saw that it was s***w I called for the manager and he came and took down my info and gave me a free meal he also said they would contact me within a week. Well, they never called so I got applebees corporate number and filed a complaint. They never called either, do you think it would be too late to try and call them about it?

  1. No, I used to work at IHOP which now owns Applebee's. I am actually surprised at this because IHOP takes their customer complaints very serious within the company. Anytime a customer complained, we had to call or write them, then invite them back.. I personally had to do it several times on behalf of the company. They do believe in keeping customers. At least IHOP does. So I would call and complain again or send an email. Tell all details, leave contact info and let them know all. If not, call the health department to look into it because that is very dangerous-someone could have died.


  2. I agree with the previous answer.  But, I would call and ask the manager why he never called back.  I would love to ask how in the world a s***w was in my dinner.  How insulting and out of line.  I am surprised that A's never called back.  

    Usually Applebees staff is awesome.  Hope your tooth is OK.

  3. I would call back and ask why they never followed up with you. I would also call the corporate offices again. I was eating at a restaurant once and there was an entire thing of staples in my spaghetti. I told the manager at the place and then told their head offices and they had the restaurant inspected in my town and it turned out there was a lot of things happening there that were against health code and they were closed down less than six months later. Anyway, hope your okay and good luck!
