What would you do to end youth offending?

Question

If you were given the task of ending youth offending in your country, what would you do? where would you start? Money and resources being of no issue.

Most creative answer gets best answer.

I'd force them to live with my grandma for 4 weeks ...that's a worse fate then death

...or...we could put them in controll and become 'oldie offenders' for a change... show them how stupid they are (I know it would never work, but we could probably fool them quite easily)

Return to God's way of living life...morally responsible parents parenting their children with love, respect, and discipline and requiring the same from their children!  The more rebellious our society becomes against God, the more chaotic and complicated life on the planet becomes.  People really raise a ruckus when told this because we are rebellious and want to do things OUR WAY!  Well, we're doing it our way and look what we've accomplished!!!

I would set a community curfew, I would make ALL people who want to be parents go to a parenting class (because it seems as though people dont know how to F*CKING be parents these days!!!) and they'd have to pass a test if they wanted to have a baby, and I would set harsher deterrents

i would set like dark prisons to put them there i would hire dangerous people wearing armor to whip them if they dont do what their suppost to do and i will also hire laser beams that make them stay where they are suppost to.

Get them off the streets, by offering them something to do they enjoy and that is seen as cool.  i.e. Recording studio so they can make their own Cd's. Gym's etc. Have an open day and ask them how they would like to use their time. Don't make it in a church hall not seen as cool.

You need to get them interested, listen to what they have to say. dress similar to them and generally be seen as to be on their level. They are after all youngster's who need to be guided. Good luck

I would place undercover policemen in everrry single county in england, and every so often they would approach dodgy looking citizens and carry out a knife/weapon search. To prevent the person being searched from attacking the undercover police officers, the police would have a special mechanism which would send a harmless shock through the person so they couldnt fight back.

I would also put up knife detectors in random places which would be disguised as everyday objects. Then if someone walked through one carrying a knife it would set off a special alarm and the nearest policeforce would be notified and would arrive within minutes to arrest them. The person with the knife would meanwhile be attacked with string and tied to the place until the police came :)

If that doesnt tackle knife crime i dont know what will..

Community service in a senior citizens program. Let them see what living a long time is like and how people's attitude change over the years. Prioritize rushing the maturing process through reality and not growing up with a Internet mentor.
