What would you do to keep the love of your life? can a sexual relationship turn into real love?

ok so I'm deeply in love with this guy

the bad thing is that i just realized it and i have a feeling it might be too late!

we have never dated but we've been kind of together for 4 years

we are friends with privileges and we have s*x and all that stuff now that we are getting older I've been really considering him as the guy I truly want to spend the rest of my life with. Its just really hard because I don't know how to turn this sexual based realionship into something real a real relationship. I'm afraid to lose him and if i don't do something soon I will.

He recently got a new job and will probably move to another state I was devastated when he gave me the news. What do i do to keep him?

You can't keep anyone because people are not objects or possessions. The best you can hope for is that he will feel the same way about you when you tell him that, over the course of time, you have fallen in love with him.

Hopefully he feels the same way, but guys are wired very differently than women. I'm not trying to be sexist. It's just that from a purely evolutionary standpoint, women did more of caretaking and have more sympathetic qualities than MOST men. There are exceptions. It's been my experience, though, that when you a tell a guy "This is just s*x," he can separate those feelings from love feelings much more often than women can. Of course, there are exceptions in women, too.

But, if you really feel you love him, you have to work up the nerve to take the chance and tell him.

And, if he doesn't feel the same way, then you best start getting over him so you can find someone who does care about you. Or else, you're going to find yourself trying to chase him down and never catching him and being another four years older and no better off.
