  1.      Public Floggings on the side of the road for who are caught on the phone hands free or not while driving.

  2. HAHA  this is an easy one i had the same problem when you get in the car just put yours cell phone really far from you that way when your driving you will be discouraged from picking it up or calling someone. ----------------------------------------...

  3. permit members of the public to administer the fines. In my 12ml drive to work through Bristol I must see 5 or 6 each trip, that`s 10 a day, 50 a week. I wonder how many are seen by the police and fined.

  4. A larger fine. Simple.

If you are caught you get an instant £1000 fine and 3/6 points.

If you get caught a 2nd time you are disqualified for 3 years and must retake your test plus another £1000 fine.

  5. i found that most people on their phones are going slower than me.

pulling up alongside them and putting the horn on helps! (not late at night or in a town, but on the motorway is ok)

they can't hear their conversation and the person they are talking to can hear they are driving

in the long term, i would make new cars into faraday cages, so the signal cannot reach the phone.

  6. Probably best way to stop the cell phone while driving problem is to turn the phone off before starting the vehicle. Just check the messages and return any call you want when you get to your destination - safely.

I've been guilty once of driving while talking on a cell phone but I used the speaker phone feature so I didn't have to hold the phone to my ear. Just two press of 2 buttons did it. I should have probably set my phone to automatically answer after a few rings but I never use that feature. I probably should look into that so I'll only need to press the speaker phone button when I receive a call on my mobile while driving.

  7. Very simple. Turn it off and put it where it cannot be reached by the driver. Want to make a call? Pull over.

  8. First offence........$500.00 fine.

Second offence........6 months in jail and a $1000.00 fine.

Third offence.........1 year in jail with a three year license suspension and a $1000.00 fine.

  9. Turn off the cell phone or drive to a parking lot stop the car and call that person back when you hang up then drive or  turn it off

  10. As much as I hate cell phones, it's never going to work.  Eventually everyone will get their wish and the government will make a fine up, just like the seat belt laws.  But reality in America today is that cell phones are used by every business.  So the government will take it's time in implementing fines and rules because they'd look like complete hypocrites.  Soon, the law will be in place, all the mothers will be happy and then they'll move onto the next "problem" which will probably be drinking coffee while driving.  All of these problems can be attributed to too many people on the roads.
