If your car got stolen from your apartment parking lot and there was 2 witnesses and they didn't report it? and you found out a week later that they saw the whole thing and they recognized the person that took it! That this person hangs out at your apartments and the manager and cops wont do anything about it. So he was seen stealing your car and it was found in flames and the cops didn't question anyone even the person that called it in seeing it on fire and you told them about what the witnesses saw and they wont even question the thief?!!! if you were a woman would you be scared living there knowing this person is always at your complex and he can steal your car and not get anything for it??? and after all this the manager argues that you live in a safe neighborhood !!

what would you do

  6. Not really.

  7. If can't call the police these days for help who do you call?

    I'd be MAD!

  8. I would be extremely P.O.'d. Wow that would really suck a lot.

  9. lets just say id be mad enough to drop somebody

  10. i'd move or sue ur have leagal rights!

  11. Karma is a *****...they'll get there's...no need to sweat it.

  12. i would be freaked. And pissed. That guys an a*****e. You should try to go to a higher power.

  13. I would grab me a bite from McDonald's.

  14. If I got shut out at every level of authority like that, I'd probably start taking matters into my own hands.

  15. I would be very mad. You need to move. Unfortunately, if you are leaving before the end of your lease, you can be charged the difference. However, the managers can only charge that if they aren't able to rent the apartment before you leave. You will have to decide if it is worth paying this in order move some place where you will feel safe.

  16. I would be super pissed.  i don't know what I would do, but I'd certainly be mad at people.  Can you get a lawyer?

  17. This actually happened to me, though in my case it was just a break in.

The woman in the house across the road sat there and watched the whole thing, then a week later came up to me and said "oh, the other day I saw so and so trying to get into your car..." and described exactly what they did! They destroyed my locks costing me hundreds of dollars and stole everything in the car, all while a perfectly healthy active young woman watched out the window. She couldn't understand why I was so angry! But really, all she had to do was either yell out at them or call the police.

  18. Yeah - so?

  19. call 911 back and tell them that u shot the guy who took ur car. then sue the cops, manager, thief, &witnesses. and make sure that every1 in the complex knows what happened. u could paper ur complex. give every1 around town even flyers with this info. take it to the paper and tv stations. other ppl will want to know about this.

  20. Tell your insurance company all this. I promise you, they do not want to pay for replacing your car. They would rather go after the guys who stole it.

Contact the chief of police. Politely and calmly, explain what you know. Be prepared to make a written statement. While auth theft is not a huge deal to some police departments, the fact is they can solve this one and there's no reason for them not to pursue it.

If you're still not getting anywhere, then write a detailed letter to the District Attorney and explain everything. Be sure to note who you've contacted and when and what was said.

And finally, if that doesn't work, send a copy of the letter you sent to the D.A. to all the newspapers and TV stations in your area. Police departments do not like to be embarrassed.

    Hope this helps.

  21. I would tell the people who witnessed the theft, "Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to return the favor if it happens to your car"

  22. um are you just making this up? It seems fake because the authorities wouldnt just let it go so easily like that. Whitnesses are required BY LAW to report it, and if they don't, you can report it and those whitnesses will get called to a court to give a statement. At least that's how we do things in canada... where justice is ALWAYS served. You poor americans.

  23. Are there any video camera's in the parking lot? What does your auto insurance company have to say?

My honest answer would be to move.

  24. I would not feel safe because the people that witnessed it aren't on your side and are refusing to talk to the police.  Tell your insurance about, if they are out money they will look into it.  If witnesses say they are not refusing to talk to police then call and get a name and number for then to call on their own.
