IN AUGUST OR EARLY SEPTEMBER. What is a good site to search for low air fare? I have been finding $1100 to london and $1500 to greece, is this reasonable?

  1. Yes, that is reasonable.  However, there are ways to get even cheaper rates to London.   I don't know about Greece.

  2. That sounds about right.  Check a site like orbitz.com where you can compare prices of different airlines.   Also, it wouldn't hurt to call a travel agency.

I made some calls to travel agencies and looked online also, and the ticket from Ohio (next to Michigan) to Athens is $1600!!!

  3. Try www.kayak.com. Different companies and different days fo the week have different prices.

If you go in late September, expect to have a 5-7 days cruise included in the $1500.

    Good luck

  4. I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home.

Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.
