I'd look into Spalding's Pocketball Gift set. Was a great gift for my 12 year old nephew. My sister has informed me that he has been playing with it for hours on end in his bedroom. I think they have it on sale at d**k's this week.

You didn't state boy or girl...but I am a mother of an eleven yr. old girl..

I would buy her anything Jonas Brothers or Hannah Montana. She also loves Nintendo DS and MP3 players (IPOD).

Boys...different story- they like buying their own stuff, so a gift card is the way to go...they have such different tastes and you can never gauge their interests by their age.

I know this one.... it was like i was 11 yesterday.... but anyway, I remember getting a giant lego, like a hard one. Or many some sports lessons? A video game is good if he has any systems, glad to help you!

When my son was 11 he was really into legos, bionicles, kinex, and any sort of building kit. Nice because it will keep him busy on rainy days and also won't force the parent to have "somewhere else to run him to"
