What would you have done? I'm shy.?

I've had this job since April. Well, yesterday, my manager walked up to me & said he had an announcement...that I was the last one to hear=( That he had resigned & was going to work in the county. I told him I was sorry to hear that & wished him good luck. He waited there and had this look on his face like he was waiting for something. I didn't know what to do. Then, he said he just wanted to tell me so I wouldn't think he disappeared one day. I politely laughed and said yeah.

If he's leaving anyway, you shouldn't worry as you'll probably never see him again ;o)

You said enough.  I mean, what else did he want?  Maybe he liked you or something and was waiting for you to suggest that since you aren't working together anymore....  Or maybe he was waiting for a gift or something.

I'm shy too, and I don't know what to tell you, lol. I would have said something along those lines too. I hate it when it's obvious that someone wants to hear something but you have no clue what it is.

Maybe he had a smidge of a cruch on you or something :)
