You went into a restaurant to eat with some friends. you sit down, order your food and go to the rest room. In there, there are two young people who work in the kitchen(obviously from the way they are dressed and what they are talking about). One of them has acne, quite severely, so much that they are all white and puffy disgusting. When you come out of the stall, that person was litterally trying to pop them in the mirror and then they just walk out! not even washing their hands or anything!!

What would you honestly do in a situation like that?

  1. I wouldn't care!!  Just b/c they work in the kitchen doesn't mean they are touching the food!!  STOP JUDGING PEOPLE!!

  2. Heave, then leave!

  3. eew thats sick! i would tell the manager about it.

  4. I would ask to speak to the manager and tell them you don't feel comfortable to eat in their restaurant after what you just experienced. If they don't wash their hands after going to the restroom, they probably are handling things in the kitchen.Yulk !!!People like them are why I don't like to go out to eat anymore. As you never know. How can you trust anyone and it is not fair to the ones who do wash hands as they are the ones who have to put up with people like them that gives them bad reputation

  5. I'd leave the restaurant and refuse to pay, and when the management asked why i'd tell them exactly why.

  6. I would leave the restaurant, but not before reporting this to the manager.

  7. I would tell my friends to not eat the food and immediately report it to the manager/owner of the restaurant.

  8. Describe them to your server and ask first if they work there. Then if the server confirms, tell he or she what you saw, tell them you want to cancel your order and get up to leave. No one should have to eat in an environment like that.

  9. I would quietly inform the manager and explain the dangers of mrsa and other diseases that could be passed on by the non-practice of washing one's hands and handling food.

From there, it's up to the manager to enforce good hygiene in his restaurant.  I'm not sure I would stay to eat though.

  10. I would find the manager and speak to them privately AFTER my meal.  And then I would never eat there ever again.

While I agree that it is absolutely disgusting, and against the Health Code, to do anything in a bathroom and not wash your hands  -- it is likely not going to make you ill.  The reality is that there is a lot of yuckystuff that ends up in food.  Washing one's hands consistently merely reduces the **** -- it's still always there.

I would not want to tell the mgr BEFORE I had my meal because you will risk that the cook will do something more retaliatory to your food.  I am not insinuating that this is standard practice for a majority of cooks, but in this instance we are talking about a specific cook who has already demonstrated poor hygiene.

It is entirely possible that he washed his hands at the hand-washing sink in the kitchen. Even if he did, he STILL should have washed them in the bathroom since a customer's perception is very important.
