You're driving your car late at night and come to a red light. If there are no cars in either direction, would you stop?

  1. of course i would ,  stupid question

  2. Yes, I would.  It's easier to follow the law.  It's safer.  There could be a car coming that you don't see, or a cop hiding in the bushes.  I don't need to be in that much of a hurry.

  3. yes, of course.

  4. yeah i would

  5. yeah i would better just to be safe than sorry

  6. yes i always do,its too easy to get in an accident with so many people on the road, you never know when a car will come out of no where on you ,its better to stop ,if you get in a habit of running them you will eventually get caught,i did, that's why i stop now, good luck.

  7. Yes

The one time you don't stop you find where that cop was hiding.

  8. yews

  9. yes...drunk drivers don't come with sirens

  10. I would stop, its the rules of the road.....

  11. Yes. Why?

    1) Drunks. They have no control over their vehicle.

    2) People driving with their lights off. You won't see them until its too late, doubly true if the car is black or some other dark color.

    3) The police don't spend all their time at the donut shop. Some of their time is spent in hiding waiting for a driver to break the law.

    4) You're on candid camera. Many signal lights have cameras mounted on them to catch drivers who do this when the police are not watching the intersection.

  12. yes i would, you never know a cop could be hiding somewhere.

  13. I would stop.

  14. I would stop, you never know whats hiding...

  15. I would keep going. What's the point of being contained when nobody is there to contain you?

  16. Yes I would, and have on numerous occasions. It's just not worth it to save yourself the extra 30 seconds or so it takes for the light to change. Besides, Cops like to be tricky and hide in a great many places.

  17. yes, a drunk might fly loose at anytime.  i have been known to run a few though.

  18. yes.  i've struggled with it many a late night, but i always end up stopping and waiting.

  19. Nope.  Never have, never will.  Why?  What's the point.  I can see, I can make an executive decision based on the circumstances at the moment.  I ran a red light today!

  20. yeah I would.  just in case.

  21. Yes, of course. It's the law. It's good to maintain a habit, and if you get too used to running a red light, you might do it during the day or when there ARE cars around.

  22. yes, i would stop no matter what. you don't want to have to pay the consequences of hitting someone when all you had to do was to stop. spare yourself the pain, and do the right thing.

  23. I dont stop in the day sometimes haha.

  24. I would do neither because I'm in a parallel universe. Why shalt I stop alt the for I never can to thou in place 1?

  25. Yes, definitely, as there are sometimes cameras on traffic lights

  26. if there are no cars anywhere (in front, behind, left or right gotta watch for cops), when you cant even see headlights in the horizon you scoot right through. otherwise you stop.  if a light takes forever its ok to go through after you have stopped as well.  which, i actually think is legal for motorcycles which might not trigger the sensors.

  27. I would stop, you never know if police are watching you, or when a car could come out of the blue suddenly.

  28. Yes I would it's the law. And what if someone went across the crosswalk, then what? Or what if a car came swerving out of nowwhere. It is just too dangerous and risky. You do not see what's coming until you hit it or vise versa.

  29. No I would not, a law is a law. I don't wanna go to jail for that situation!! There may be a cop around there somewhere.......

I'd rather wait than be in trouble! That is a serious problem....!!

  30. Yes I would because it is more out of habit than anything else, and also you don't know if someone is going to come out of nowhere unexpectedly and crash into you.

The only time I would run the red light if no one is around is if I was having an emergency and needed to get somewhere fast, for example, if I was in labor or if I needed to get someone to the hospital.

This was a cool question by the way! I hope your survey turns out good. :)
